'Church of the Crooked Spire' is the enigmatic album announcing the arrival of guitar master Dan Fearon. Thematically inspired by the paintings and pictures around his home, the project was recorded in just 4 weeks from the comfort of Fearon's home. From the very beginning we are served up exceedingly impressive performances from the musician, as he shreds through solos between each chant of "Welcome to the church of the crooked spire, Where you have come to expire". This track is just the preface of the fusion of classic rock, grunge, blues and rock we hear throughout the album. One thing that stands out in 'Church of the Crooked Spire' is the stimulating imagery and storytelling, potent in tracks like 'In The Ruins' and 'Tracks In The Show', with lyrics like "In the frozen wasteland, so cold and afraid, red mist in the air, you see footprints of someone else, so you follow". Despite his vast extensive collection of guitars, Dan Fearon played each part on his Kononykheen Breed Forty One, he also uses this album to show off his percussion abilities. This album is Dan Fearon through and through, even the artwork was done by himself. 'Church of the Crooked Spire' reveals a multi-talented musician with an unstoppable drive.

I was born in Leeds and have moved around England but am back home in Leeds again. I started playing guitar when I was 12 years old and was always inspired by my grandma who was an amazing pianist. I went to Leeds College of Music and learned all aspects of music, recording and production. I had a band called Rusty Nail in the late 90's we played a few local gigs and recorded a couple of demos. I also worked in a recording studio for a couple of years and recorded an album, some of these songs I have re-recorded and since released. I achieved a lifetime ambition of building my recording studios at home and call my label Rusty Nail Records, the name came from the band and originally was from the Cocktail mixing Whisky and Drambuie.
Rusty Nail Records is where I now produce my music. I play guitar, bass, keyboards, sing, produce everything. The music I create is available to stream and buy from all good online music stores. Including AppleMusic/ ITunes/ YouTube Music/ Amazon Music/ Spotify/ Deezer and many more.
I find inspiration all around me and use past and present situations to develop an idea. I often write the lyrics before any music is written and this gives me an idea of the style of music to fit the lyrics. I try to make my music representative of myself and my passions. All the songs and music are written about different themes but some have stories or concurrent ideas.
